Knaap Bike - 2 seater electric bike

I bought this for my wife and she is very happy. Very good quality package and excellent value for money.

With fun and fitness in mind I started researching electric bikes, I didn’t realise how many there were or how much you could spend. At 5’11 and almost 20st. It had to be right and in budget. The Wisper Wayfarer hub drive step through (no more throwing my leg in the air) was the one and four days ago I collected my new red bike. It took a couple of hours to get the power modes and use of gears working together, now I absolutely love it. What hills ! The motor kicks in and pulls you up the steepest of hills and at any point you can get assistance to make your journey so easy. Thank you Wisper, EXCELLENT.

I'm just getting the hang of this 705 step-through bike. It is strong and well-made, with high quality braking system, and suspension. The design indicates rectitude rather than machismo. The sudden burst of power takes a bit of getting used to - but enables me to go up hills without too much effort. It's a heavy beast to manhandle through the hall way - but it adds a new dimension to routes and distances that I would not have attempted without the electric assistance.

Was pleased when this bike arrived and very pleased now I have done some riding. I feel the quality is good, nothing feels cheap or weak, it is solid and very comfortable. Saddle and handlebars are easy to adjust. Its reactions are instant, & the gearing is smooth and accurate. Battery is proving very efficient and if you are still prepared to pedal and get some exercise & not call on the power continuously, then the mileage is terrific. I will add that I believe the quotes for average mileage is accurate too. Very pleased with this purchase and also think the price was on the money.

The wisper is the first electric bike I have ever ridden so it took a while to get the hang of it. I quickly realised that I was giving it too much power so now I start off low powered and increase the power when I climb. The controls levers are quite condensed but once I got used to it was happy with them. The bike itself has everything I need I did purchase a mirror which was easy to fit, perhaps not needed by many cyclists but I am deaf so it gave added safety and a padlock.

Early days with my folding 806 but very impressed. Very easy to ride and power assistance very easy to adjust to the right level . Bike is not light but removing the battery makes it much easier to lift into the boot when required.
20 inch wheels have proved to be ok for light off roading on paths and bridleways.

I have ridden 50 miles so far, and this little bike is great at helping you up the hills, making the ride fun rather than hard work! Very happy with the bike so far!

We wanted folding e-bikes that we could use around where we live but also could take on holiday in a car. They needed to be competitively priced, to fold small enough to fit two in the boot, be not too heavy to lift, have a reasonable range (>25 miles), a removable battery for charging (e.g. in a hotel room), have disc brakes, be capable of coping with some off-road use and be well made with good quality components. After a good deal of research we happened upon the E-Go bikes and knew immediately that we'd found exactly what we wanted. These bikes are perfect for our needs. If yours are slightly different then they have other models available. The delivery was just two days and the Customer Service really excellent. We are so pleased we found them.

We purchased two of these bikes to use when travelling in our Motorhome. They are lightweight, fold easily and are of extremely good quality, just as good as many on the market at twice the price. The company are very friendly and helpful and a pleasure to deal with. No hesitation in recommending this company or their product.

To say I am impressed with the e-go bike is an understatement.
I use it for a 12 mile round trip commute and its wonderful. A trip along a rolling route aided with a little or alot of assist is no trouble for this might machine.
Folds neatly away for carriage on the coach and stowing at home/work. Easy to fold/unfold.
Not only is the bike excellent so has been the customer service. I'm so pleased I went with the e-go above the others I had researched.

My order of 2 Lite+ bikes arrived in less than 2 days. Well packaged and easy to put together. Have not had chance to try them yet, as weather has been freezing. They look good quality bikes, nicely made.

We are surrounded by steep hills with the Pennines and the Yorkshire Dales on our doorstep. At 72 I was finding them hard going on my Mountain bike. The Knaap is great helping me to sail up long inclines. You still need to peddle hard on the steepest hills but the Knaap has revived my interest in enjoying the countryside.
The range is great and the running cost of 0.2 p/mile amazing. My grand daughter loves to ride pillion. I plan to take it to the coast so my wife and I can explore the secluded beaches. It fits perfectly in the back of my VW Microbus.

I love the fat tyres and the motor bike looks.

What are you waiting for;- save the planet and have more fun, go electric.

I recently purchased an E-GO Lite folding bicycle from Launch Electric. Initially I spoke to Calum via the web chat option on their website. He seemed extremely knowledgeable and helped me to make a well informed decision on my purchase.

Sadly when the bike arrived, only a couple of days later, I had noticed the box appeared to have been damaged. I subsequently sent some photos of the damage to Calum who informed me that this is something that can occasionally happen in transit, although thankfully it is quite rare and the bike should be fine.

Unfortunately it was not and upon inspecting the bike whilst assembling it I noticed some scratch marks and the kick stand also looked noticeably scuffed and scratched as well. As if something had scraped it.

Needless to say that I sent some more photos of the damage to Calum, who genuinely seemed just as disappointed as I was at the time.

After emailing back and forth for a few days we came to an arrangement that appeared to suit us both.

It was unfortunate, although in my honest opinion Calum went above and beyond to ensure that overall I was satisfied and happy with my purchase.

It is for this reason alone that I would not hesitate to recommend talking to Calum at Launch Electric if you are in the market to purchase a new electric bike.

The bike arrived before the email confirming shipping! Slight issue with the derailleur adjustment - one of the adjuster screws and the idler bracket was slightly bent, probably by contact by one of the cardboard locating inserts inside the carton - however, you quickly arranged a replacement screw, and the bracket was easy to straighten! I will also echo the comment of the previous reviewer - the mudguard assembly is rather fiddly! Surprised to see that the optional 'big bum' saddle I ordered was pre-installed for me though, and it is very comfortable - especially for someone who has not ridden for many years!
Build quality is excellent, however - and performance is amazing! Not tried out an extended ride yet, due to weather and other issues. Would like to see a suitable (permanently attached) rear light/reflector for the rack offered as an accessory, as the seat-mounted one can be easily obscured by a jacket?

Great little bike for popping into the car, train, bus..folds like a dream.
